Don’t let the pressure of proper tire disposal get to you!
If you can spare a minute, we will inform you on what you should do with unwanted tires. Here are two ways to get rid of unwanted tires that are off the rim and measure no more than 32 inches in diameter with a tread width no greater than 12 inches:
Place the off-the-rim tire/s at your curb for regular trash pick-up. Contact your waste hauler directly to inquire about their tire acceptance policy.
Bring your off-the-rim tire/s to the York County Resource Recovery Center (limit of 10).
For more information on guidelines and rates for disposing of tires at the York County Resource Recovery Center or to find out how to discard larger tires, visit www.ycswa.com/tires .
